Why “Casa da Carvoaria”?

The neighborhood where the studios are located is locally known as “Bairro dos Ferreiros” because an intense blacksmithing activity has been taking place there for many decades. According to local testimonies, a small coal shop operated in this place for many years, which used rests of coal from a neighboring blacksmith factory to sell as a source of heating for the houses at the time. It is in honor of the origins of this place that the name “Casa da Carvoaria” was born.
